IMH Products has acquired Creative Machining Concepts, an Indiana based precision tool and die manufacturer. CMC brings deeper tooling expertise into the IMH platform and expands our ability to support OEM programs that demand speed, repeatability, and tight tolerance execution.
For over 70 years, IMH has helped build the backbone of American industry. This acquisition is another step in strengthening domestic manufacturing capability and giving OEMs more work that can stay here, built by teams who know how to execute.
“IMH has always been focused on being a complete manufacturing partner for OEMs,” said Eric Odmark, owner of IMH Products. “Creative Machining Concepts adds critical tool and die depth that helps us support customers with tighter tolerances, more complex tooling needs, and faster iteration.”
CMC will continue operating with the same team, the same expertise, and the same customer focus, now backed by additional capacity and resources as part of IMH.
“Our customers count on us for precision and responsiveness, and that is not changing,” said Neil Goyer, owner of Creative Machining Concepts. “Joining IMH gives us more support, more resources to invest, and the ability to take on more opportunities without compromising the work.”
What CMC adds to the IMH platform
Expanded capabilities include
- Tool and die design and build
- Progressive die support
- Tooling maintenance and repair
- Precision machining support for tooling programs
- Fineblank capability
- Wire EDM
- Assembly fixtures

These processes support programs that demand exceptional edge quality, tight tolerances, and consistent repeatability at production volumes.
What it means for OEM teams
Tooling is where timelines get won or lost. When tool build, revisions, machining support, and precision work are spread across multiple vendors, handoffs slow down decisions and accountability gets messy when changes need to happen fast.
With CMC as part of IMH, OEMs can consolidate more of that work with one partner that can support tooling and die needs alongside IMH manufacturing capabilities, reducing friction and shortening iteration cycles.
“OEMs do not need more vendors,” Odmark said. “They need a partner that can own more of the process and execute consistently. This acquisition helps us do that, especially for customers who have been forced to split tooling and precision work across multiple shops.”
Continuity for current CMC customers
This is not a reset. CMC customers can expect the same team, the same facility, and the same responsiveness they have always relied on, with improved capacity and resources over time.
“Customers should expect the same level of service they have always received from CMC,” Goyer said. “The difference is that we now have more resources to support growth and continued investment in our capabilities.”
A capability expansion tied to a bigger mission
This acquisition is not about a rebrand. It is about building a stronger one stop manufacturing platform that helps restore domestic supply chain independence.
IMH is investing in the systems, equipment, and people required to support OEM programs where reliability and repeatability are non negotiable. Adding CMC strengthens our ability to keep more critical work in the United States, while creating high skill careers and continuing to build the Midwest manufacturing base.
What’s next
In the coming weeks, IMH will share more detail on these expanded capabilities, including fineblank, wire EDM, and assembly fixtures, along with examples of where these processes can improve quality and lead times.
Existing IMH customers who want to review upcoming tool and die, wire EDM, assembly fixture, or fineblank needs should contact IMH. Current CMC customers should continue working with their existing contacts, with additional IMH support available as needed.
