Machining Services
ASSEMBLY SERVICES
Reliable parts. Fast turnarounds. Low costs. These are the reasons why companies turn to IMH for comprehensive assembly services. Our fabrication and machining capabilities enable us to meet exacting requirements and adapt to the needs of our partners.
CNC MACHINING
Precision cutting is essential to producing quality designs. IMH offers unparalleled laser cutting and CNC machining services. A leading provider of CNC solutions, we partner with Mazak, as well as Citizen, Haas Laser Technologies, Inc., and Okuma, to meet all of our customers’ CNC machining needs.
CNC MILLING
CNC milling is all about the details. Whether you need to refine a component’s features or form materials into custom shapes, CNC milling can execute the task with precision and efficiency. IMH’s CNC milling machinery accommodates a large range of requests—everything from prototyping to fabricating unique components.
CNC TURNING
A preferred machining method for cylindrical parts, as well as prototypes and small batch production, CNC turning enables us to quickly manufacture highly specific, complex machine parts.
SWISS TURNING
Ideal for large production runs of small-diameter parts, Swiss turning allows manufacturers to quickly and efficiently machine slender work pieces. IMH’s Swiss turning lathe enables us to handle very low tolerances, making this machining method incredibly useful for aerospace and medical components.
WIRE EDM SERVICES
Wire EDM lets IMH cut intricate shapes in hardened materials while holding very tight clearances. It is ideal for punch and die components, precision tooling details, and complex machine parts that are not practical with conventional machining. Submersible machines in a controlled environment help deliver accurate, repeatable parts with clean edges.
TOOL AND DIE SERVICES
IMH designs, builds, and maintains tooling that keeps stamping and forming operations running. Our team supports single hit tools, compound dies, progressive dies, and roll form tooling for both new projects and existing production. In house machining, grinding, and wire EDM allow us to hold tight fits and extend tool life.
PLASTIC INJECTION MOLD TOOLING
IMH supports plastic injection molds from initial build through repair and maintenance. We work on tools with hot runners, slides, lifters, and complex cores to keep production parts running smoothly. Services include new components, replacement details, and shut off repairs so molds stay in service longer.
CUSTOM TOOLING AND FIXTURES
Many jobs require special tooling that cannot be ordered from a catalog. IMH designs and builds custom fixtures, gages, end of arm tooling, and components for automated equipment. This support helps customers improve quality, reduce setup time, and keep production and assembly processes running efficiently.
PRECISION TOOLING AND COMPLEX COMPONENT MACHINING CELL
This dedicated machining area focuses on tight tolerance tooling components, complex parts, and short run work. The team programs directly from customer CAD files and uses CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and wire EDM to hit demanding tolerances. It supports both stand alone jobs and the tooling and fixtures that keep IMH production lines running.
High Volume CNC Machining
IMH houses a wide variety of band saws, drills, engine and toolroom lathes, horizontal milling machines, surface grinders, and other metalworking equipment, including:
- Acer 3-axis vertical machining center with 10 inch by 50 inch work table
- Fryer CNC turning center with 14-inch turning diameter and bar feeder
- Mazak Nexus vertical machining centers with 21.5 inch by 51 inch work tables and 40-taper spindles
- Mazak vertical machining center with 20 inch by 78 inch work table
Setting the Standard for Modern Manufacturing Partnerships
A dual commitment to increasing efficiency and pursuing growth drives IMH’s partnerships. We align our production of steel and aluminum parts and assemblies with each customer’s planned consumption, eliminating excess inventory and hidden expenses. By investing in the most advanced machining technology and empowering employees to develop creative solutions, IMH is able to handle any level of demand.
