Title: Outside Sales
Location: Indianapolis, IN
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for sourcing new customer relationships for IMH Products as well as two companies related by common ownership in the Utility Truck Body and specialty machining industries.
- Quickly builds strong relationships with contacts at all levels across a variety of functions within customer organizations but especially with purchasing decision makers.
- Travels consistently to customer sites and networking events.
- Works with insides sales representative and upper management to develop quotations and contract proposals that are responsive to customer needs and result in profitable sales for the company.
- Understands and keeps up-to-date on the competitive environment and provides market intelligence to sales management to help shape service center sales strategies, price levels and working capital decisions.
- Increases revenue from assigned customers by increasing part volumes or selling additional services.
- Entertain current and prospective clients at networking events and trade shows
- Minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience in metals industry or similar industrial sales background / industry
- Strong business acumen with excellent customer service, interpersonal and both oral, and written communication skills; persuasive negotiation skills
- Effective problem-solving/conflict resolution skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships quickly.
- Aggressive, competitive, and self-motivated attitude is essential.
- Keen attention to detail with a strong aptitude for math
- Ability to work well and excel within a team or individually.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in marketing, business or a related field of study) or related experience.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must have valid drivers license
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
