Description

The Quality Manager at IMH Products is entrusted with overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of quality control measures in alignment with ISO standards. This involves supervising the Quality Team, ensuring that they perform inspections, audits, and quality tests to identify defects and areas for improvement while adhering to ISO guidelines. The Quality Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and deliver superior products while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and compliance, ensuring the company’s reputation for excellence in quality and ISO compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain ISO quality standard documents to ensure company compliance.
  • Participates in the recruitment of Quality Control staff and ensures the comprehensive training of new team members.
  • Assumes responsibility for the daily workflow and scheduling operations within the Quality Control department.
  • Carries out performance evaluations in a timely and constructive manner within the Quality Control department, fostering professional development and continuous improvement. Coach team members as needed to ensure compliance with company expectations
  • Champions ISO and Quality management programs to support production.
  • Take part in advanced quality planning activities to ensure new products can meet customer expectations. 
  • Oversees product testing and ensures that PPAPs/FA inspections are performed on time and with accuracy.
  • Further develops and maintains existing quality control database, detailing internal and external quality issues.
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates product testing processes, by understanding the customer’s need. 
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Implements methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field required.
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field required.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere.

  • Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and/or hear: talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas through spoken words. (Hearing – perceiving nature of sounds by ear)
  • Physical lifting and movement: Ability to walk or stand 8 hours a day. Ability to lift, push, pull or move 50 pounds. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
