The remanufacture of replacement stamping die components is an everyday occurrence at IMH. Whether we make new components from your supplied CAD data or prints, or reverse engineer your broken or worn-out details, we can handle the job complete from start to finish. With our CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, wire EDM, and grinders, we manufacture components in all sizes—from small enough to fit in the palm of your hand to large enough to fit in the back of your truck. FINEBLANK TOOLING
Fineblank tooling requires exceptional precision due to the extremely tight clearances and high pressures inherent in the fineblanking process. IMH routinely manufactures fineblank components with less than .0005″ clearance between punch and die, and even closer fitting clearance between punch and stinger or die and counterpunch. Our wire EDM machines are continually monitored for accuracy and routinely laser compensated to maintain optimal operating conditions. All of our wire EDM machines are submersible, resulting in less recast and decreased edge chipping. Combined with specialized heat treat processes, this greatly increases the service life of your fineblank tooling. Whether you need a tool built new or require sharpening and maintenance, we service all aspects of fineblank tooling.

PLASTIC INJECTION MOLD TOOLING
IMH supports plastic injection molds from initial design and build through repair and maintenance. We work on tools with hot runners, slides, lifters, unscrewing mechanisms, and complex collapsible cores to keep production parts running smoothly. WIRE EDM SERVICES
Wire EDM is essential for precision toolmaking. IMH’s wire EDM capabilities allow us to cut intricate shapes in hardened materials while holding very tight clearances—routinely achieving tolerances to .0002″. Our submersible machines operate in a clean, climate-controlled environment and are laser calibrated on a regular basis. This technology is ideal for punch and die components, precision tooling details, fineblank components, and complex tool parts that are not practical with conventional machining. We handle workpiece dimensions up to 40″ × 50″ × 18″ with maximum weight capacity of 4400 pounds and can machine tapers up to 45 degrees. Whether you need complete wire EDM work or just specific cutting operations, we deliver accurate, repeatable parts with clean edges.

EDM HOLE DRILLING
IMH provides precision EDM hole drilling services for small hole applications and broken tap or drill removal. This specialized capability is essential for creating precise cooling channels in molds, removing broken tools without damaging surrounding material, and drilling hardened components where conventional drilling is not possible.
